Alteration is a brand I designed for my senior project. We were given the entire semester to complete our work, followed by an exhibition showcase to celebrate and display our work. To make Alteration feel like a complete and real brand, I developed a series of print and digital media ranging from posters and clothing to a website prototype.

The idea for Alteration came from my difficulties in finding clothes that fit right. I had looked into specialty stores that took specific measurements but I failed to find any that had options other than business attire. There simply wasn’t a company that specialized in tailored, casual clothing. By allowing customers to input their exact measurements along with their preferred style of fit, they would be able to get clothes that fit exactly how they want them to. This also eliminates the frustrating problem of finding a style you love, only to find out that it’s no longer available in your size.

Think about your favorite pair of jeans, or that one T-shirt you’ve had for years. Part of the reason we hold on to these faded gems is because we like the way they fit and how they make us look. Everyone’s bodies are unique, and your clothes should be made to fit yours. Alteration was created with the idea of delivering the perfect fit, every time.
